The women who make ASCPA work ensure this association for Certified Public Accountants gives its members access to resources, a network of professionals across the state (and outside state lines) and advocacy through legislative representation.
- WE ARE EXCITED ABOUT continuing to move our organization forward with advancements in technology, strengthening our staff and streamlining our internal processes to benefit our members.
- YOU WOULD NEVER GUESS how small our staff is. We do the work of a much larger staff with 11 people.
- WE VALUE our team. We work every day with integrity, transparency and a collaborative spirit. Whether it’s collaborating with each other on an internal project, or working with our members to achieve a goal or move an initiative forward, our team keeps the end goal in mind and works hard to be as efficient and impactful as possible.
- CURRENTLY, WE ARE WORKING ON strengthening the accounting pipeline. We have strategic goals and initiatives to get in front of middle- and high-school students. We want them to be aware of accounting as a profession and keep our collegiate students engaged and involved.
- WE HOPE WOMEN WILL keep reaching for their goals. Whether it’s in accounting, or any other field, now is our time. In today’s business landscape, women are leaders, strategic and impactful. Women get it done, and often we are juggling 10 million other things at the same time, whether it’s our own family, aging parents, growing a side hustle or small business. It’s nothing short of inspirational.
- WE’VE LEARNED THE HARD WAY THAT you can’t please everyone and that sometimes, no matter how many times you email, instructions or reminders get missed. But, we are all human, and we’re in this together.
- OUR SECRET SAUCE is our people. Our staff, our members, our board members — we all have the same goal, and we even like to have a little fun while getting there.
